Description
This specimen shows the aorta from just above the origin of the mesenteric vessels to just beyond
the origin of the internal iliac arteries. The wall shows a number of fatty streaks with an occasional
larger atheromatous plaque.

This was an incidental finding at autopsy in a man aged 48
